HOME VIGILS

It wasn't so long ago that we all knew how to care for our dead, and this was done mostly at home. It is our experience that although it may seem foreign and frightening, when given the opportunity, people really cherish the time they spend loved one who has passed. Having a wake in your home allows for family and friends to gather, without a rigid schedule or agenda, to honour the deceased, hold their hand, say some last words to them. To share stories, food, tears and grief with loved ones, and settle into the new reality in an unhurried manner.
